We named this piece after Annie’s travels to Australia. The name represents a place she visited called the Babinda Boulders close to Cairns on the East Coast. The myth behind this special place was a love story between a boy and a girl. The girl tragically drowned in the dangerous waters that lay here which formed the incredible boulders and her name was Oolana. The boulders that lay amongst the water have eroded over time to create a distinctively smooth surface, we took this inspiration and used it to design the bobbles which have made the Oolana Bangle so distinctive. This is a place Annie loved and a story which she hasn’t forgotten.
This is Renné’s take on the traditional identity bracelet. This piece fastens with a classic swivel catch which the Victorians used on their watch chains. The name Humph derives from a lovely customer of ours who bought the first ever one we made. Humph was a very special friend in her life and we wanted the name to continue. Sentiment is an integral part of Renné.
Mixing silver and gold used to be unfashionable however finding customers that wanted to integrate their existing jewellery with our silver has become more popular. We personally love to mix the two metals as it can add depth and difference to your collection. Our gold bangles make a beautiful gift for those special milestones in our lives.
We both have small wrists and find the Open Oolana and Stamped Bangles fit nicely as they can be adjusted to shape your wrist with a simple nip. Also try the Bobble Bracelets as these can be shortened to any preferred length.
