Working with beautiful and talented friends is a dream. After photographing my stunning friend Hannah in Greece and realising what a natural in front of the camera she is we decided to join forces with another friend Lucy. Lucy Matthews is a make up artist based in the North East, currently training in Leeds and working alongside MUA Jo Leversuch. The aim of the day was to create a number of looks that we can use across our social media and marketing. Planning through many Pinterest boards, featuring laid back fly away hair, barely there make up and statement lips we got to work. Spending the day working with friends does have its benefits, it is natural, organic and never boring! We decided to use our farm as our location, keeping the colours muted and autumnal.
“laid back fly away hair, statement lips”
The north of England can never be relied on to maintain good weather all day. Of course when the day began it was pouring down, non… stop. The many obstacles you have to face when shooting outside! We managed to work around the weather and the grey skies actually enhanced the Autumnal feel to the photographs. After reflecting on the day and the pictures we took, my favourite shots are the ones of both Hannah and I in frame. The two pairs of hands, arms and necks enhances the whole Renné vibe. The jewellery becomes the main attraction, which is always the aim but some how it projects a more attainable, fun image.
Renné began because we wanted a collection that spoke and related to women of all ages, pieces of beautiful semi precious stones and metals that could be worn and treasured in your own style. We incorporate simplicity and beauty to produce sentimental items that mean something to their owner and wearer. Each piece lovingly handmade, focusing on high quality and wearability. The images we use across all of our marketing need to reflect this mission statement and convey this to our wonderful new and existing customers. Renné is about being real, true and loving what your jewellery says.
